Product Manager
Mark My Words - Melbourne - Full time

Mark My Words is an AI-powered assessment platform. Our OCR and AI models assess handwritten student work against detailed rubrics, so teachers can give every student meaningful feedback on their writing. We're used in schools across Australia and expanding internationally.

The role
You'll be our first product hire, owning product delivery end to end. You'll run discovery with teachers and stakeholders, turn what you learn into clear requirements, then coordinate across design, engineering and machine learning to ship it..

What you'll do

- Run discovery and consultation with schools and stakeholders, then write specs the team can build against

- Coordinate design, frontend, backend and ML workstreams toward shared launch dates

- Work closely with our CTO on prioritisation, scoping and trade-offs





- Track dependencies, surface blockers early, and triage requests so engineers stay focused

- Own multiple concurrent builds with hard deadlines

What you'll bring

- 3+ years in product management (B2B SaaS or edtech ideal)

- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (design, engineering, data/ML)

- Strong discovery skills with non-technical stakeholders and crisp written specs

- Calm under pressure across parallel workstreams

- Interest in education - teaching background a plus
