About the role

Oche Melbourne is seeking an experienced Venue Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Melbourne CBD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our entertainment venue. As Venue Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, leading and developing staff, and creating an exceptional experience for our guests. This position requires a proactive individual who can lead by example and wear many hats.

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing daily venue operations and ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures

- Managing and supervising staff, including training and development

- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene throughout the venue

- Monitoring customer service standards and addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally

- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards across all areas of the venue

- Responding to emergency situations and managing incidents

- Coordinating with management on venue performance, staffing needs, and operational improvements

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Confident, approachable, and bubbly with a welcoming personality

- Excellent food, beverage, and cocktail knowledge

- Experience in restaurant section waiting and event operations





- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- A guest-first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
