Welcome to the biggest independent arts venue in inner Sydney, Nauti Studios Incorporated.
Our Forest Lodge (next to Glebe) venue is three massive warehouses that merge together.
We provide large warehouse space for events, workshops, rehearsals, photoshoots, filming, conferences, markets, weddings and more.
We also provide private work spaces for over 50 creative professionals.
It's a massive unique premises where outstanding things happen.
We're looking for an incredible individual to be a part of our team who is ready to get right in the middle of that energy every week.

What you'll be doing

Event supervision. You'll be the trusted presence on the ground whenever the space is in use, keeping guests safe, keeping the venue respected and well cared for, and keeping everything running smoothly from bump in to bump out. People will look to you to manage the room with confidence and warmth.

Tours, in two directions. You'll lead tours through the facility for people considering the event space for their next shoot, show, or celebration, bringing them into the heart of our creative production powerhouse. You'll also guide prospective studio artists through the workspaces, helping them fall in love with the space while getting a feel for whether they'll be a great addition to our creative community.

Supporting the space. While supervising and touring light admin and general upkeep is required. You'll be responsible for helping keep the space presentable and everything running beautifully.



Support for our social media is also required through a small amount of filming of events you are supervising.

Additional skills. Small independent arts organisations like ours often go through expansions and changes, especially as a venue grows in popularity, as ours is currently doing. Someone who is open to contributing additional skills during this growth, or adapting to what might be needed would be very valuable.
In this position you will always be around exciting events, innovative people, and have potential to learn and explore.

What we're looking for

- Genuine enthusiasm for event spaces, the arts, and creative communities

- Confident, warm communication skills, and comfortable managing people, whether that's a massive event with a crew or an introverted person who needs help coming out of their shell

- Great judgement and a calm, capable approach to reading a space and a situation

- Reliable, organised, and happy to roll up your sleeves when needed

- Bonus skills welcome: events, venue management, front of house, hospitality, the arts, hands on technical skills, or share with us what you could bring to the table

Hours

This is a part time position with an average of approximately 19 to 20 hours a week, though days and times vary based on our events calendar.
Availability is needed during the week and weekend.
