As our Metronet project rolls on to design, manufacture and maintain 246 current railcars for the PTA Australia's $1.6 billion Railcar Program, we are looking to welcome a Material Planner on Fixed Term 12 Months Contract to our team.
This position is responsible for executing the material planning and inventory strategies in coordination with Industrialization and Operations teams and provides a rare chance to grow your career, have autonomy and contribute to key activities for a large scale project. Reporting to the Material Planning Manager, day to day activities will involve managing purchase requisition flow up to the material planning documents, ensure accuracy of the material planning master data and identify priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation.

We'll look to you to:

- Ensure coordination with the Project Team to clarify Production planning and impacts on material schedule
- Work closely with planning, procurement and logistics teams to ensure materials are delivered to the right location, in the right condition at the right time
- Monitor the safety stock levels for materials in consultation with the Procurement Team and the Material Planning Manager
- Resolve receiving issues, track missing parts and ensure non-conformities replacement




- Contribute to new business risk assessments and mitigation action plan

- Degree in Supply Chain/Engineering or Relevant Field.
- A confident user of SAP
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Understanding of material requirement planning and inventory control systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal and liaison skills
