Requirements for this role:
- 32 hours a fortnight with possibility of more hours
- 2 years of relevant work experience required for this role
- AHPRA registration
- Experience working with people with physical disabilities
- Experienced with PEG feeding care, changing tubes, bowel care, etc
- Speaks fluent and understand English
- Stays calm when situations escalate

About the Role: We’re looking for passionate Registered Nurse to join our team. You’ll provide person-centered support, assist with daily living, and provide clinical support and medication training to support workers. This role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You’ll be supporting people within the community to be looked after and make a real difference in their lives.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build strong, respectful relationships with participants
- Personal Care Routine
- Mealtime & Dysphagia Support
- Continence, toileting & bowel care
- Domestic assistance
- Manual Handling & Safety
- Medication Administration
- Providing medical support and training to other staff
- Educate staff with understanding of medication and ensure medication routines
- Support in making medical charts
- Keep medical records and make incident reports accordingly
- Support daily routines, meals, household tasks, and structure
- Work confidently with complex behaviours, following behaviour support plans
- Promote independence, routine, and emotional regulation
- De-escalate situations using proactive, trauma-informed strategies
- Accurately document progress, incidents, and observations
- Work closely with families, clinicians, and the stakeholders care team
