Yassas the Greek Way offer a unique experience to traditional Greek food with a Melbourne twist and is a premium addition to the Melbourne Culinary culture. We currently have 4 locations and are about to open our 5th location in MITCHAM Vic.

We are seeking a passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen. As the Head Chef you will be leading the kitchen with all aspects of operations, people management, menus and fostering a positive culture that is guest focused.

Essential duties for the role include the following:

- Have a strong passion for creating dynamic menus and great food
- Managing and inspiring your team to perform at a high level
- Strong financial acumen relevant to labour and COGs control
- Have the ability to review operational performance and make improvements where necessary
- Ensure all management targets are achieved in line with KPI's
- Working in accordance with Food Safety and complying with legislative requirements pertaining to food preparation and handling




- This is a hands on Head Chef role

In order to be successful for this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Previous Head Chef experience for at least 3 years
- A genuine passion for food with attention to detail with presentation
- Knowledge and Experience of Greek and Mediterranean cuisines
- Trade qualifications and previous experience in a similar role managing a solid team
- A customer service focus, with the ability to surprise and delight our guests with innovative and stylish food through your teams delivery
- An ability to think on your feet and multi-task
- Leadership ability, with previous experience mentoring your team and apprentices in the kitchen
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with fluent English

This role is offering a very strong remuneration package comprised of an excellent base salary and super. We are also seeking other experienced chefs/cooks to join or team, please apply with your expression of interest and resume.
