We’re a long‑established, family‑owned engineering workshop with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and craftsmanship. We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Fitter & Turner to join our team and learn from highly experienced tradespeople across a wide range of machining work
About the Role
This apprenticeship offers hands‑on training in machining, fitting, assembly, and workshop operations. You’ll work alongside skilled tradespeople, learning how to produce precision components, operate manual and CNC machines, and understand engineering drawings and tolerances
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with machining, fitting, and assembly tasks
- Learn to operate lathes, mills, borers, and other workshop equipment
- Support tradespeople with setups, tooling, and job preparation
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings
- Perform measurements and quality checks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Follow workshop procedures and safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in engineering and machining
- Solid work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team
- Completed (or currently completing) Year 10 or equivalent
- Pre‑apprenticeship in engineering (advantageous but not essential)

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
