About the Role

We are seeking an Auto Electrician (qualified or 3rd/4th year apprentice) to join our Sydney Airport team.

This is a hands-on role in a highly specialised and safety-critical environment, working on aviation fuel trucks and refuelling vehicles. You will be supported with training in this niche field, giving you the opportunity to build unique skills while contributing to critical airport operations.

For the right person, this role offers more than technical work. It is a genuine pathway to take on greater responsibility and develop into a leadership or supervisory position over time.

What the Role Involves

- Working in a safety-critical environment,ensuring all activities are carried out with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and risk management
- Carrying out electrical repairs, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on aviation fuel trucks and refuelling vehicles
- Conducting inspections, upgrades, and modifications in a modern, well-equipped workshop
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with strict aviation safety and compliance standards
- Providing responsive support across multiple locations, including travel between Sydney, Western Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, and regional sites (for example, Dubbo)
- Working closely with clients,



fuel companies, and contractors to keep the fleet operational and audit-ready
- Taking ownership of jobs from start to finish, managing tasks in a time-critical environment
- Contributing to continuous improvement, fleet reliability, and upcoming projects and upgrades

What You Will Bring

- Trade qualification in Auto Electrical or currently a 3rd or 4th year apprentice
- Air-conditioning licence (preferred)
- Experience with trucks, fuel trucks, or tankers (advantageous, not essential)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a solid customer focus
- Willingness to learn, take on responsibility, and grow within the business
- Valid Australian working rights

Additional Information

Pay: $53.00 – $58.00 per hour
