Position Title: Business Reporting Analyst
Location: Gold Coast, QLD
Salary: $75,000-$80,000 per annum + superannuation

Position Summary

The Business Reporting Analyst supports Car Mods Australia’s operational, commercial, and supply-chain decision-making by analysing data from the company’s e-commerce, inventory, logistics, and finance systems. The role provides accurate and timely reporting on sales performance, product margins, stock levels, freight costs, and operational KPIs to improve business efficiency, profitability, and customer outcomes.

This role is essential to managing the complexity of the company’s rapidly expanding SKU range, supplier network, and online order volumes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sales, Product & Commercial Reporting

- Analyse sales performance across product categories, SKUs, and channels.
- Monitor product margins, pricing movements, discounting effectiveness, and profitability trends.
- Identify underperforming products and provide recommendations based on data insights.
- Prepare weekly and monthly commercial performance dashboards for management.

2. Inventory, Stock Forecasting & Supply Chain Analytics

- Forecast stock requirements based on sales forecasts, seasonality, and supplier lead times.
- Analyse inventory turnover, slow-moving and fast-moving SKUs, and stock-out risk.
- Track supplier performance indicators such as fulfilment rates, delivery accuracy, and lead times.
- Monitor purchasing patterns and support data-driven procurement planning.

3. Freight, Logistics & Operational Performance Analysis

- Analyse freight cost trends, shipping method efficiency, and customer delivery behaviour.
- Report on operational KPIs, including order processing times, picking accuracy, fulfilment SLA adherence, and returns.
- Identify operational inefficiencies across warehouse, logistics,



and order fulfilment functions.

4. Business Intelligence Reporting & Insights Delivery

- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports (e.g., Power BI, Excel) aligned with operational and commercial needs.
- Extract and transform data from internal systems such as e-commerce platforms, CRM, warehouse/inventory management systems, and accounting tools.
- Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and data modelling to support strategic planning.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management to improve revenue, reduce costs, and optimise operations.

5. Data Governance & Process Improvement

- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation of data across reporting platforms.
- Document reporting methodologies and maintain data integrity protocols.
- Support the implementation of improved reporting processes and analytical frameworks relevant to automotive e-commerce operations.

Business Need for the Position

Car Mods Australia operates an automotive e-commerce and wholesale retail business with a large SKU catalogue, multiple supplier channels, and high-volume online orders. The business requires dedicated analytical capability to:

- monitor sales and product profitability,
- manage complex inventory forecasting,
- analyse rising freight and fulfilment costs,
- improve operational performance visibility, and
- support data-driven decision-making across purchasing, marketing, and logistics.

The Business Reporting Analyst position provides essential oversight and reporting across these areas and directly supports sustainable business growth.
