We are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic / HD Fitter to join our team working with leading mining clients across Western Australia.

About the Role
As a Diesel Motor Mechanic / HD Fitter, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance and servicing of heavy mobile mining equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations across mine sites.

Duties
The successful applicant will undertake repair, maintenance and servicing of:

- Caterpillar Dump Trucks - 785C, 789C and 777
- Hitachi Hydraulic Excavators - EX1200, EX1900, EX2600 and EX3600
- Caterpillar Dozers - D10 and D11
- Caterpillar Graders - 12M, 14M and 16M

Additional responsibilities include:

- Diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults using specialised diagnostic equipment.




- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Repairing and overhauling diesel engines, powertrain, hydraulic and braking systems.
- Completing inspections and identifying equipment defects.
- Completing maintenance records and job documentation accurately.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean and protected work environment.

Skills and Experience
To be successful you will possess:

- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Mobile Plant Maintenance or an equivalent trade qualification.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile mining equipment.
- Experience working on Caterpillar and Hitachi mobile plant is highly regarded.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair documentation.
- Current manual driver's licence.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a FIFO environment.

Desirable:

- Experience in the mining industry.
- HR driver's licence.
- High Risk Work Licence (Forklift, Dogging or Rigging).
