Reporting to: Depot Manager
Purpose: Provide support to the Depot Manager to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and loading/unloading operations.
Essential Criteria:
- Must hold a current ‘Certificate of Competency’ in operations of a Forklift Truck.
- Freight dispatch and receivables
- Experience in General Freight
- Container loading/unloading
- Inventory control
- Quality control
- General house keeping
- Co-operate, participate, contribute and work in a team workplace
- Assist Management with ideas for improvements
- Sound knowledge of OH&S; requirements
- Communicate with Management on daily activities
- Control traffic flow into and around warehouse
- Assume responsibilities in the absence of hierarchy
- Prepare product for loading
- Process paperwork where required
- Check product for damage and report to Management
