About the role
GAL.B Korean BBQ in Southport is looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our team.
The main duties are dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen support. Applicants who are interested in learning Korean cooking may also be trained in food preparation and cooking duties.
Key details
- Wednesday availability is essential
- Additional shifts available on other days
- Kitchen Hand only: from 1 day per week
- Applicants interested in Cook duties may work up to 4 days per week and approximately 28 hours
- Casual or part time employment available
- Staff meal, drinks and employee discount provided
Main duties
- Dishwashing and maintaining the dish area
- General kitchen cleaning and closing duties
- Assisting with food preparation
- Organising kitchen equipment and supplies
- Supporting cooks during busy service
- Cooking duties may be added depending on ability and training
Pay
- Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher casual rate: up to $33.85 per hour
- Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher part-time rate: up to $27.08 per hour, plus paid annual leave and personal leave
- Employees who perform Cook duties will receive the applicable Cook rate for those hours:
- Casual weekday Cook rate: up to $34.96 per hour
- Casual Sunday Cook rate: up to $48.95 per hour
- Part-time Cook rate: up to $27.97 per hour, plus paid leave
About you
- Reliable, punctual and able to work in a busy kitchen
- Available every Wednesday
- Interested in learning Korean cuisine and developing cooking skills
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential
- Applicants able to perform both Kitchen Hand and Cook duties will be highly regarded
