At Poppy's Chocolate we craft happiness one chocolate at a time. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on chocolate maker to help us produce the premium chocolates our customers love, locally and right across Australia.
This is a genuine long-term role in a growing small business that values teamwork, positivity, and real pride in the craft.
What you'll do:
- Make and finish our chocolates with speed, precision, and care for every detail
- Uphold high hygiene and food-safety standards across all production areas
- Keep your workspace clean, organised, and running efficiently
- Use basic computer programs for stock and order
What you'll bring:
- Hands-on experience in chocolate making, pastry, or food production (essential) - ideally 3–5 years
- A strong work ethic, high energy, and pride in quality
- A friendly, honest, and reliable nature, and a team-focused mindset
- The composure to stay calm and deliver through busy peak periods
- A focus on cleanliness and a solid grasp of food-safety standards
The practical details:
- physically fit for repetitive work
- able to lift up to 25kg and be on your feet all day
- Comfortable with basic Word and Excel
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's licence (public transport here is limited)
- Live permanently in SE Queensland, within a 30-minute drive of Beenleigh
- Available Mon–Thu 8:00am–4:00pm
- For health and safety: no jewellery, long nails, or smoking; annual leave is restricted over Easter and Christmas
