At Cello, we’re on the hunt for a salon assistant — but here’s the twist: this role isn’t just for “hair people.” Some of our best team members came from cafés, retail floors, and places where things get busy, messy, and fun.
So if you’ve ever:
- Juggled five coffee orders while someone asked for oat, almond, and “just a splash”
- Dealt with customers who were… let’s say “memorable”
- Kept your cool while everything around you was slightly chaotic
…you might fit right in.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Keeping the salon looking sharp (yes, cleanliness matters — we’re not animals)
- Helping our stylists stay on track and stress-free
- Making clients feel welcome, comfortable, and maybe even a little bit special
- Learning the ins and outs of the hair world (without being thrown in the deep end)
No experience? Perfect.
We’re more interested in attitude than a résumé full of buzzwords.
You’ll do well here if you:
- Notice things before you’re asked (like an empty coffee cup or a messy station)
- Bring good energy — the kind people actually enjoy being around
- Can handle a busy environment without losing your mind (or your sense of humour)
- Secretly (or not-so-secretly) think the hair industry could be your thing
