We are seeking compassionate, empathetic and motivated individuals who want to help make a difference in the community by empowering others to reach their potential through employment opportunities.

At WISE Employment, our Workplace Mentors play an integral role in supporting customers to succeed in the workplace and build long-term, sustainable employment.

The Workplace Mentor provides practical, on-the-job support to customers and employers, helping individuals overcome workplace barriers, build confidence and develop independence while maintaining positive employment outcomes.

This is a part-time chance working 12 hours per week at $32.02 per hour.

Please note: there is an expectation of working at outreach sites and visiting employers within the local community.

To be considered, you must:

- Have full Australian working rights
- Hold a full Australian driver's licence
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Be able to pass a Working with Children Check

A day as a Workplace Mentor involves...

Customer Support & Workplace Mentoring – 75%

- Provide on-the-job support to customers to help them succeed in employment
- Assist customers to build confidence,



independence and workplace skills
- Deliver practical coaching and guidance in line with individual support plans
- Conduct workplace visits and provide feedback to customers, employers and Employment Consultants
- Work collaboratively with employers to address workplace challenges and support sustainable employment
- Liaise with other community service providers where required

Employer Engagement & Relationship Management – 15%

- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers
- Support employers to create inclusive workplaces
- Identify opportunities for ongoing employment and future vacancies
- Respond professionally to employer enquiries and provide ongoing workplace support

Compliance & Administration – 10%

- Maintain accurate customer records and case notes
- Ensure activities comply with Inclusive Employment Australia contractual requirements and WISE policies
- Meet quality and compliance standards
- Always act in accordance with WISE values and WHS requirements

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential Criteria

- Experience supporting people within community services, employment services, customer service or similar industries
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills




- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and employers
- Computer literacy and experience using Microsoft 365
- Emotional maturity, empathy and compassion
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable Criteria

- Qualifications (or working towards) in Community Services, Human Services, Counselling, Psychology or a related field
- Experience working with people facing barriers to employment
- Knowledge of Inclusive Employment Australia or employment services
