About the role

CORPINTENT PTY LTD AS TRUSTEE FOR PHOENIX CONSOLIDATED TRUST is seeking an experienced Painter to join our growing team in West Melbourne, VIC. This is a full-time position responsible for delivering high-quality painting and protective coating services across commercial buildings and high-rise structures.

What you’ll be doing

- Prepare exterior and interior building surfaces for painting and protective coating applications by removing existing paint or surface contaminants, repairing minor surface defects, filling holes and cracks, and sanding, smoothing and sealing surfaces.
- Select, prepare and mix paints, primers, sealants and protective coating materials to achieve specified colours, finishes and performance requirements.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, sealants and other protective coatings to structural and architectural surfaces of commercial buildings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and specialised coating application systems.
- Perform painting and coating works on high-rise commercial buildings and structures, utilising rope access techniques and other approved height-access systems to access difficult or elevated work areas safely and efficiently.
- Inspect painted and coated surfaces to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and client requirements, carrying out touch-up and remedial work where necessary.
- Erect, inspect and utilise access equipment, including scaffolding, ladders and rope access systems,



and install protective coverings and drop sheets to protect adjacent surfaces and work areas.
- Remove, clean and maintain painting tools, spray equipment, rope access equipment and associated materials, ensuring work areas are kept safe, organised and compliant with workplace safety requirements.
- Where required, undertake minor repairs to windows, frames and related surfaces to facilitate painting and coating works.

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience working as a Painter in commercial or high-rise building environments.
- Experience using rope access techniques and approved height-access systems.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, protective coatings, materials and equipment.
- Ability to use brushes, rollers, spray equipment and specialised coating systems safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and work instructions.
- Knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience as a Painter is required.
