What you’ll be doing
- Assisting with programming automated irrigation controllers
- Monitoring and applying irrigation using soil moisture probes, manual checks and other tools
- Assisting with fertigation (fertiliser application through irrigation systems)
- Following irrigation schedules and accurately recording all inputs
- Hands-on irrigation work: repairing valves and sprinklers, digging trenches, replacing poly pipe
- Progressing to more complex irrigation tasks as your experience grows
What we need from you
- Previous farming experience and a genuine desire to learn irrigation
- Physically fit and ready for labour tasks
- Comfortable using mobile apps
- Ability to follow irrigation/fertigation schedules and keep accurate records (after training)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
