Urgent Support Worker for Bright Nine-Year-Old – Woodend VIC , Immediate start

Location: Woodend VIC 3442 and the surrounding Macedon Ranges
Date: ASAP Monday to Saturday available
Start time: 10.30 am in Woodend VIC
Shift length: Approximately 3–4 hours

About Us

Participant is a bright, funny, and endlessly curious nine-year-old autistic ADHD with a solid PDA profile. He loves physics, space, robotics, maths, chess, music, Minecraft, Zelda and asking questions capable of sending an ordinary adult back to university.

Participant and his mum enjoy spending relaxed, low-pressure time together in the Macedon Ranges, including visiting local parks, cafés, bookshops, and other welcoming community spaces.

We are urgently seeking a calm, capable and genuinely neuro-affirming support worker to assist participant during his time with his mum tomorrow.

Support Required

This is a clearly defined community-access and transition-support shift. It is not an ongoing household role and does not involve cleaning, personal care or heavy lifting.

The support worker will:

- Collect Participant directly from his father’s house in Kyneton at 10.30 am.
- Transport participant to meet his mum.
- Support and his mum while they spend time together in the local community.
- Accompany them to suitable places such as parks, cafés and bookshops.




- Assist with transitions, communication, food, drinks and emotional regulation as needed.
- Help maintain a calm, enjoyable and low-pressure environment.
- Return participant to his father’s house following the community outing.
- Remain with participant at his father’s house for approximately one hour, providing supervised in-home support and helping him settle after the transition.
- Conclude the shift between 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm, depending on the final arrangements.

You will also have:

- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Police Check
- ABN
- Reliable Car with Comprehensive Car Insurance
- NDIS Workers Check
- Working with children check
