The Opportunity

Join a leading entertainment organisation in a role that will strengthen your legal career.

- Duration: 6 months
- Arrangement: 5 days (4-5 days in office tbc)
- Location: Melbourne

About You

You are a seasoned general commercial/regulatory lawyer with a minimum of 7 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.

Your Experience & Expertise:

- Experience working in a legal, compliance, regulatory, risk or investigations role
- Experience dealing with matters involving regulators, ideally including the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission or a comparable regulatory body
- Generalist legal or compliance experience, with the ability to support a broad range of business needs as they arise
- Demonstrated experience advising on regulatory compliance obligations and helping the business respond to regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage varied matters across compliance, regulatory, investigations and general business support
- Familiarity with regulated sectors such as gaming, wagering, hospitality, entertainment, financial services or other consumer-facing industries would be advantageous

- High level of autonomy and confidence managing matters independently.
- Strong regulatory and compliance judgement.
- Robust stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with operational teams and senior business stakeholders.




- Adaptability and willingness to assist with a broad range of matters from the business.

Requirements:

- Current Australian practising certificate
- Right to live and work in Australia
