Position Summary
provides high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services to older adults in their homes, helping them maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing physical impairments while working collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments in clients' homes.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and functional abilities.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, flexibility, and pain management.
- Assess and manage falls risk, and implement falls prevention strategies.
- Prescribe and monitor individualized exercise programs to promote functional independence.
- Recommend mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to improve safety and independence.
- Educate clients, family members, and caregivers on exercise techniques, safe mobility, and injury prevention.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Communicate effectively with general practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in case conferences and care planning meetings.
- Comply with infection control procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and professional ethical standards.
- Maintain continuing professional development and stay current with evidence-based physiotherapy practice.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the relevant physiotherapy regulatory authority.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for community visits.
- Current first aid and CPR certification (where required).
- National police clearance and working-with-vulnerable-people clearance (as applicable).
- Professional indemnity insurance.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in aged care, community health, rehabilitation, or home-based physiotherapy services.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- Knowledge of age-related conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, stroke, dementia, and frailty.
- Experience in falls prevention and balance training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a community caseload.
- Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport with older adults and their families.

Pay: $60.00 – $75.00 per hour
