We are Currently seeking a support worker to join our team to provide support to our Participants in their homes
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting participants with daily living tasks and independent skills
- Provide personal care to both female and male participants and a willingness and ability to work with a variety of NDIS Participants with different levels of abilities including showering, dressing, manual handling, continence care;
- Support with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and other housework;
- Provide transport to appointments and/or facilitate community access outings
- Assist with social activities with participants
- Delivering individual support plans
- Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes;
Skills & Experience:
- Have an excellent work ethic who likes challenges.
- Show initiative and enjoy working independently and as part of a team and think on your feet.
- Fit, energetic, and enthusiastic individual who has the ability to see the potential in people.
- Apply person-centred approach when supporting Participants in their own home and/or out in the community.
- Have a nursing or RCW or AIN background and/or are experienced in providing support to participants with behaviour, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disability.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in aged care, community care, disability care, and/or youth work.
- Able to provide personal care to both male and female participants such as showering, grooming, toileting and continence or willingness to learn.
- Experience supporting Participants using frames, wheelchairs, and hoists.
- Experience supporting Participants with daily living skills, food preparation and housekeeping
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be willing and available to work different rostered shifts including, morning, afternoon, evening, weekends, public holidays, and split shifts.
Licence/Certification:
· A current driver's licence and willing to use own Comprehensive Car Insurance and reliable vehicle for work purposes;
· Certificate III in Disability or Aged Care will be highly considered.
· Mental health experience highly desirable
· Have the right to work in Australia
· NDIS Workers Check
· A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
· Children Check
· Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house & manual handling work.
· Proof of Covid 19 vaccination record
· Seasonal flu shot
· NDIS Orientation Certificate
· COVID-19 Training

Pay: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour
