We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Consultant to join our clients team in Botany. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is confident interacting with a wide range of customers — including tradespeople visiting to place or collect orders.
Our client is an Australian maufcaturer and supplier of materials that are used across residential, commercial, industrial, and architectural construction projects.
Responsibilities
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by handling enquiries and processing orders face-to-face, over the phone, and via email . You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in-store, particularly trades-based clients
- Take, enter, and process orders via SAP (preferred) or similar systems
- Respond to phone and email enquiries professionally and promptly
- Look up and track existing orders
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide general administrative and customer support
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to support customer needs
- Ensure all interactions are conducted with a strong customer-first mindset
Your Profile
- Previous customer service or order processing experience (preferred)
- SAP experience highly regarded
- Confident working in an workplace with frequent interaction with tradespeople
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills — verbal and written
- Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- A friendly, professional, and solutions‑focused approach
