About this opportunity

The NACC has an Assistant Director, Education position available for immediate filling in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months.

About the role

The Education and Outreach Team plays a critical role in supporting NACC’s corruption prevention and education functions by building integrity capability across the Commonwealth public sector. Through education, engagement and strategic outreach, the team helps Commonwealth public officials understand corruption risks, strengthen ethical decision-making and foster a culture of integrity.

As Assistant Director, Education, you will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the NACC’s education program. You will oversee the design and delivery of high-quality learning products, resources and engagement activities that support the Commission’s strategic objectives and contribute to preventing corruption across the Commonwealth public sector.

This role extends beyond the delivery of education products and programs. As a member of the branch leadership team, you will help shape the NACC’s strategic approach to corruption prevention education, identifying emerging integrity risks and capability needs, and influence how integrity and anti-corruption concepts are understood and applied across the Commonwealth.





Working in a complex and evolving operating setting, you will provide strategic advice on education and outreach approaches, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and ensure the Commission’s education offerings remain contemporary, evidence-based and responsive to stakeholder needs.

This role requires strong leadership, sound judgement and highly developed stakeholder engagement skills. You will lead projects and programs, manage competing priorities and foster collaborative relationships across government, integrity agencies and professional networks. You will also contribute to the broader leadership and capability of the MCCPE Branch.
Occasional interstate travel may be required.

Duties

The successful candidate will work under broad direction and exercise a high degree of independence and judgement.

Key activities of this position include:

- Lead the strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the Commission’s education and outreach program.
- Shape and influence the NACC’s approach to corruption prevention education, ensuring initiatives align with organisational priorities and emerging integrity challenges.
- Lead the design and delivery of high-quality education, training and engagement initiatives that support corruption prevention and integrity capability across the Commonwealth public sector.
- Provide strategic advice and expert guidance to senior leaders on education, stakeholder engagement and capability-building strategies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Commonwealth entities, integrity partners, professional bodies and other stakeholders to advance the NACC’s corruption prevention objectives.
- Lead the identification of emerging integrity risks, trends and opportunities and translate these insights into education and outreach initiatives.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness, reach and impact of education and outreach activities,



using evidence and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead complex projects and initiatives, managing resources, risks, timelines and competing priorities to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Represent the NACC at meetings, forums, conferences and stakeholder events as required.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement and skilled excellence.
- Contribute to branch planning, governance, reporting and broader organisational priorities.

The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities. Eligibility

Employment with the NACC is subject to the following conditions:

- Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- Security clearance – this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.
- Suitability assessment - the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.
- Probation - a probation period will apply to a new ongoing engagement in the Australian Public Service.
