As a Ranger (OO5) with the Innisfail North work unit, you will lead and support a small team delivering a broad range of park management activities across protected areas in the Wet Tropics region. The role includes planning and delivering projects related to fire, pest and weed management, visitor management, asset maintenance, natural and cultural resource conservation, compliance activities and emergency response operations. You will help coordinate work programs, supervise staff, manage records and reporting, engage with visitors and stakeholders, and build strong relationships with First Nations partners, local government and community groups. This hands-on position requires robust leadership, communication and organisational skills,
along with the ability to work independently and in challenging outdoor environments. Experience in conservation, land management, natural resource management or a similar field will be highly regarded. A current unrestricted manual driver's licence is mandatory. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about conservation, enjoys leading by example and wants to contribute to the protection of some of Queensland's most significant natural and cultural landscapes.
