The Opportunity
The role will develop contractual arrangements with customers, contractors and suppliers and identify commercial risks and opportunities. Managing the legal and commercial integrity of customer and supplier contracts to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing
General Management
- Ensuring adequate resourcing for the various areas under the position’s control.
- Implement and manage operating processes and procedures.
- Provide leadership, management and guidance to employees and the organisation.
- Manage state profit and loss performance.
- Ensure budgets are set and controls are in place.
Commercial
- Develop and manage strategic business ventures.
- High-level business analysis.
- Manage legal and regulatory requirements.
Operations
- Manage the planning, design and project management of infrastructure build and customer connections.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost estimates for customer connections.
- Manage commercial arrangements with customers, contractors, suppliers and other relevant parties.
- Manage network management, fault reporting and fault fixing.
- Manage the negotiation and issue notices to facilitate infrastructure build and customer connections.
Projects
- Strategic development of business cases and project plans.
- Establish budgets and costings in association with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborative engagement with stakeholders to define and meet project goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the execution of project plans on time and on budget.
- Proactively establish opportunities for cost savings and benefits and undertake risk analysis.
- Financial and management reporting.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum of 5+ years’ professional experience in a telecommunications business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- High level of commercial acumen, including financial and business analysis skills.
- Experience with sales, business development and relationship management.
- Strong strategic skills.
- Experience managing people in a way that demonstrates leadership, management and empowering people to achieve their potential (a plus)
- Experience managing budgets (a plus).
- Business Diploma / Degree or equivalent.
- Commercial & Contract Management Certification Program — Practitioner, Advanced or Expert.
