YOU:

- Queensland Blue Card (Suitability for Working with Children) – can obtain once with SWJ
- Current CPR and Senior First Aid certificate or equivalent and the appropriate theoretical and practical training to provide emergency medical care
- Demonstrable experience and success in educating groups of teenagers, and the energy and enthusiasm to keep them interested
- Demonstrable experience and success in multi-day tour guiding or tour organisation
- Robust safety awareness and risk management skills
- Knowledge of Wet Tropics flora and fauna
- Ability to present positive aspects of Aboriginal culture and to discuss current Indigenous issues
- Live a “green” lifestyle and are excited to work for a small company that is focused on the environment and community. If you are still buying plastic water bottles then you are not.
- Knowledge of Cairns restaurants, shops and landmarks
- Have Queensland Driver’s Authority and appropriate license class (at least Light Rigid) or the ability to get one once hired
