The Opportunity
Our widely acknowledged, first class Global Loans team is a core practice area of the firm, originating significant deal mandates in its own right and managing many of the firms most significant client relationships.
We specialise in "high end" larger cap and complex corporate finance transactions and are a Band 1 team ranked by Chambers. We regularly advise on the full range of debt financing structures in sponsor event driven financings, including A$ unitranche financing, Aust TLB,US TLB sourced financings of Australian targets, conventional Australian leveraged loan, Holdco mezz and ARR financings to SaaS / tech businesses.
As a result of a growing pipeline of work our Global Loans team is looking to hire a Senior Associate to work on leveraged finance transactions.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- 5+ years' loan markets experience gained within a top-tier firm, respected mid-tier firm or in-house, with experience in leveraged finance.
- Experience in engaging directly with clients to progress complex transactions, including working to tight deadlines where necessary, with appropriate partner support.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and superior analytical and drafting skills.
- A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
- The ability to be team-focused and provide leadership and mentoring to junior lawyers in the team whilst also work independently.
