Trade Qualified Bakers / Pastry Chefs

WHAT YOUR DAY WOULD LOOK LIKE:
Working in a supportive team setting, where some of the key activities would include:
- Meeting daily production goals for a variety of baked goods.
- Ensuring correct mixing, proofing, baking and cooling of dough, quality control and minimisation of waste.
- Smooth and efficient running of the plant.
- Provide training and guidance to non-trade qualified personnel.
- Availability for weekends and some public holidays.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualifications or equivalent recognised industrial experience, training or prior learning experience and/or skills are required.
- Bakers must understand basic yeast doughs such as breads, laminated doughs such as croissants or puff pastry, cookie and pastry doughs, and a broad range of cake batters.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Math or computer skills to recalculate recipes as needed and to produce the correct quantity of finished product.
- Understanding of food safety and professional hygiene.
