Opening in September 2026, East Pavilion is a brand-new, multi-million dollar 220-seat waterfront restaurant within the iconic Shoal Bay Country Club precinct, directly opposite Shoal Bay Beach.

Inspired by the port cities and coastlines of Asia, East Pavilion celebrates bold, generous Chinese cooking designed to be shared. Wok-fired dishes, premium produce and genuine hospitality come together in a stunning coastal setting, where two coastlines finally meet at one table.

We're building our opening team and are looking for Chefs and Wok Chefs to help bring East Pavilion to life. Full-time and casual opportunities are available.

The opportunity

As a Chef, you'll work alongside our experienced culinary leaders to deliver exceptional food quality and consistency across every service. Whether your experience is across multiple kitchen sections or you specialise in wok cooking, you'll play an important role in bringing our menu to life.

This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-recent restaurant before opening, work in a brand-new kitchen and help build the team and culture from day one.

What you'll be doing

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while maintaining consistency across every service.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Assist with food preparation, mise en place, stock rotation and section organisation.
- Support the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and operational standards at all times.

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Wok cooking experience or experience with Chinese or South East Asian cuisine is highly regarded




- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and pride in your work.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and work as part of a high-performing team.

Pay: $79,500.00 – $82,000.00 per year
