About the Role:

As a school Youth Worker, you'll be a valued member of our school-based student support teams.

You'll provide wellbeing supports to children from prep through to year 6 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.

As a Youth Worker, you will:

Provide individual or group support to identified students to promote their social and emotional wellbeing
Enhance students' social skills, assertiveness, self-esteem and problem-solving skills through a strengths-based approach.
Refer students to relevant support services including wellbeing professionals and external service providers, and assist them to navigate these systems.
Contribute to implementation of whole-school wellbeing programs.

Your caseload will include working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students,



supporting their wellbeing and educational success through culturally-informed practices.

A commitment to continuous cultural capability development will be essential in ensuring inclusive, respectful, and effective support tailored to their unique strengths and needs.

About You:

We're looking for team members who:

Have experience working with children and/or in wellbeing support roles
Can manage a diverse caseload with a range of presentations and needs
Are highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team

While no formal qualifications are required, current or completed studies in human services would be considered highly desirable.
