Position Summary:

Nepean Truck and Trailer (NTT) is seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Repairer / Body Builder to join our team in Penrith.

This hands-on role involves welding and fabrication, modification and repair of truck and trailer bodies to meet customer requirements and comply with Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and other relevant industry standards. You'll work with steel and aluminium across a variety of commercial vehicle applications including tippers, flatbeds, curtain-siders, refrigerated bodies, and specialised trailers.

You will also be expected to support other team members and areas of the business including trailer servicing, part assembly and tarp fitting.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Repairing and replacing truck and trailer parts.
- Welding steel, aluminium fixtures and sub assemblies.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of trucks and trailers, with the support of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workshop and following WHS procedures.

What We’re Looking For

- Trade qualification: Certificate III in Body Building / Welding.
- Experience working on heavy diesel vehicles or equipment.
- Strong work ethic.




- Current driver’s licence (HR or HC licence advantageous).
- Forklift licence (desirable).
- Familiarity with ADR compliance and heavy vehicle regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safety-focused attitude and strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

- Workshop environment, occasional outdoor or onsite work.
- Manual handling of heavy components – must be physically fit.
- Use of PPE and adherence to all WHS policies and procedures.
- Overtime or weekend work may be required based on workload.

- Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
