Your new role
You'll work alongside senior leaders and operational stakeholders to drive financial performance, challenge thinking, and provide the commercial insights that shape strategic outcomes. From leading budgeting and forecasting cycles through to delivering meaningful financial analysis, you'll have a genuine seat at the table and the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organisation.
You will also be responsible for but not limited to:
- Strategic business partnering with senior stakeholders and operational leaders.
- Partner with executive leaders to support strategic decision-making and business performance outcomes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across multiple operational portfolios.
What you'll need to succeed
You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to drive financial performance and informed decision-making. You bring strong analytical capability,
excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience in Finance Business Partnering, Management Accounting or a similar commercial finance role.
- Strong capability across budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling and performance analysis.
- Exposure to TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.

This job presents an opportunity to work within a well-established organisation in Cairns, in a friendly and supportive finance team. You’ll be working full-time hours Monday–Friday, 38 hours a week, at an attractive hourly rate + Super, with opportunity of moving into a permanent role.
