The Role
- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance on machinery, equipment, and production lines to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
- To execute a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment failures and extend their lifespan.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring they are properly integrated into existing systems.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety standards and protocols, promoting a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and parts inventory.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest upgrades or modifications to enhance equipment efficiency.
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques for industrial machinery.
- Understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
