We are looking for an Operations Manager who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can bring energy, leadership, and a “one team” approach to hotel operations.

As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of voco Darwin Suites, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage, events, guest experience, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with all departments to ensure every guest receives a memorable and seamless experience.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different at voco Darwin Suites by IHG, but you'll mostly be:

· Leading from the front – actively supporting hotel operations and creating memorable guest experiences

· Overseeing Food & Beverage operations, ensuring service standards, quality, and profitability are achieved

· Managing event operations including conferences, meetings, and special occasions from planning through to execution

· Working closely with the Front Office team to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve any service challenges

· Building strong relationships with guests, clients, and team members through authentic engagement

· Supporting daily hotel operations and stepping in where required to maintain service excellence





· Coaching and developing team members to deliver consistent and personalised hospitality

· Monitoring operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving positive results

· Assisting with guest recovery, complaints, and service solutions in a professional and timely manner

· Supporting a positive workplace culture built on teamwork, trust, and accountability

What we need from you

· Previous experience in a hotel operations, duty manager, assistant manager, or similar leadership role

· Strong Food & Beverage and event operations experience

· A hands-on approach with the ability to work across multiple departments

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

· Ability to motivate, coach, and support a diverse team

· Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

· Knowledge of hotel operations and property management systems (HotelKey experience beneficial)

· Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

· First Aid certificate preferred

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
