The Role
This is a full-time opportunity within our Operational Support Services team. As a Stores Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the effective operation of TasWater’s warehouses and regional stores. You’ll be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring stock levels are optimised to meet operational needs.
You’ll work across multiple sites, collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers to maintain efficient store operations and deliver consistent service outcomes.
Support the optimisation and control of inventory levels, including use of automated re-order systems.
Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials across stores.
Coordinate deliveries, raise purchase orders, and liaise with vendors to ensure timely supply.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stocktakes, and reporting.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and transportation of goods in line with safety and environmental standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across stores systems and processes.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support operational requirements.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
Experience in warehousing, logistics, or a similar stores environment.
Demonstrated understanding of inventory management and stock control systems.
Solid time management skills and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Sound digital literacy, including experience using inventory or warehouse systems
A current forklift licence (or ability to obtain one) and a valid driver’s licence.

The Details
This role will be based at Rocherlea and attracts a salary range of $85,078.62 - $89805.21 per annum (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable based on experience.
