We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Melbourne team as an External Account Manager (Scientific / Industrial ).

About the role

As an External Account Manager (Scientific / Industrial), you’ll be responsible for calling on clients, assisting them to source their laboratory requirements, locally (Melbourne Metro) and regular regional visits.

You will use your excellent interpersonal and selling skills to maintain personal contact with our clients and will be the first person they call on in times of need.



The ideal candidate will thrive using their scientific knowledge, customer focus, resourceful thinking, and an attitude to succeed.

Key responsibilities

- Call on our clients to keep them abreast of the products we have available that will assist in performing their daily duties

- Assist clients with price and availability, via phone and email, developing ongoing positive relationships

- Generate and process quotes, enter client orders, manage contract submissions

- Call on established clients Melbourne metro and remote.

Skills and experience

- Experience in sales is desirable

- Excellent attention to detail

- Positive attitude with the drive to meet targets

- Robust computer skills, literate in Microsoft Word and Excel

- Experience working in a laboratory with qualification in the Sciences (Chemistry) / Commerce is highly desirable
