About Our Client
Our client is a leading Queensland organisation specialising in the maintenance and refurbishment of holiday accommodation and recreational facilities. As part of a major renovation program involving over 300 holiday homes, they are seeking experienced Carpenters to join their team in Coppabella. You will help deliver high-quality renovations across a large portfolio of properties.
What You Will Be Doing:
Our client is seeking a Trade Qualified Carpenter to join their team in a Full Time position. Working alongside a team of skilled tradespeople, you will play a key role in the renovation of over 300 holiday homes. Your responsibilities will include;
- Carry out general carpentry works including framing, fixing, cladding, flooring, doors, windows and internal fit-out as part of holiday home renovations
- Install and repair timber and lightweight steel framing, wall linings, skirting, architraves and other finishing carpentry components
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to complete renovation works to project requirements
- Measure, cut and assemble building materials using hand and power tools while maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Remove and replace damaged or outdated building materials, fixtures and fittings as required during refurbishment works
- Install kitchens, cabinetry, benchtops, doors, hardware and other joinery components where required
- Work collaboratively with other trades including electricians, plumbers, painters and flooring installers to meet project schedules
- Conduct rectification and defect works to ensure completed homes meet quality standards and client expectations
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area,
ensuring compliance with WHS policies, procedures and site safety requirements
- Complete renovation works efficiently to meet project deadlines across multiple holiday homes while maintaining quality and productivity
What You Will Need
- Current Certificate III in Carpentry
- Demonstrated experience in residential construction, renovations or refurbishment projects
- Proven ability to complete both first fix and second fix carpentry to a high standard
- Competent in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment
- Strong knowledge of building practices, Australian Standards and WHS requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-trade construction team
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality workmanship and finishing
- Ability to manage workloads efficiently and meet project deadlines across multiple renovation sites
- Construction White Card
- Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
