We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Draftsperson to work in a small close-knit team environment. This is a fast paced and highly collaborative role. This is a permanent, fulltime position with immediate start, based in Somersby, NSW, and an optional North Sydney office location.

About the role

The Draftsperson is responsible for providing technical drawings and designs to support the installation of tower cranes on key projects. The Draftsperson works closely with the operations and sales teams, as well as externally with clients, engineers and consultants to ensure accurate and precise designs that meet all necessary specifications and codes.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with our sales, engineering and operations teams to develop crane placement strategies, lifting solutions and project-specific engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce detailed technical drawings and designs including radial drawings for tower cranes.

- Create detailed methodologies for carrying out tower crane erection and dismantle, and corresponding rigging works.

- Review and revise drawings as necessary drawings.

- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders; project managers, project engineer and sales/ operations teams.

- responsible for developing detailed CAD drawings and engineering layouts that support the planning and delivery of tower crane and materials handling solutions across a diverse range of construction projects.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients and consulting engineers and sub-contractors.





- Maintain records of all drawings, revisions, and project-related documents.

- Ensure compliance with manufacturers requirements and Australian Standards.

- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed deadlines.

- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for drafting accurate designs.

- Willingness to stay up to date with industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in drafting and design.

- Liaising with multiple OEMS suppliers across design and drafting enquiries and working through to resolutions

Experience

- Proven experience working as a Draftsperson in a similar role

- Solid understanding of construction methodologies and lifting operations.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

- Experience with tower cranes, heavy lifting, temporary works or materials handling systems will be highly regarded but is not essential.

- Experience within the Construction Industry is preferred

Qualifications and Skills

- A certificate or qualification in Drafting, Engineering and/or relevant work experience

- Minimum of 1 year experience using AutoCAD - proficiency in this is a mandatory requirement

- Experience in drawing and planning the transport of heavy equipment and machinery is highly regarded

- 3D drafting is highly desirable but not essential
