Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join the Cardiorespiratory Outpatients / Chronic Disease management teamÂ
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The Grade 3 Physiotherapist has a key leadership role in the provision, organisation and development of cardiopulmonary services at Craigieburn Centre and across Northern Health.
Through their clinical expertise they will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in client care, promotion of quality, education of staff and students, team and program development. The grade 3 Physiotherapist will work closely with the Clinical Leaders to monitor, evaluate and develop their service area and be involved in teaching and coordinating the site student program. Â
The caseload will include Cardiac Rehabilitation (including virtual program), Heart Failure Rehabilitation, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.Â
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A background which includes significant clinical experience resulting in high level of skill in  cardiorespiratory physiotherapy Â
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills Â
- Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care Â
- Demonstrated sound clinical skills based on practice wisdomÂ
- Demonstrated ability to lead and promote evidence based practice Â
- Possesses practical negotiation and conflict resolution skills Â
- Experienced in supervision of junior physiotherapy staff and/or Allied Health Assistants Â
