We have partnered with a leading Perth-based construction company renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the multi-residential, education, aged care, and commercial sectors.
As the business enters an exciting period of sustained growth, backed by a strong pipeline of secured projects and increasingly large-scale developments, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Estimator to join their expanding team.
The Opportunity
This role will play a key part in supporting the continued growth and success of the Multi-Residential division. Working closely with senior management, project teams, and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing project budgets, and providing commercial insights that contribute to successful project delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to work on complex, high-value developments within a collaborative and forward-thinking business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Develop project budgets and cost plans.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Assess project risks and pricing strategies.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
- Maintain up-to-date estimating databases and cost benchmarks.
- Support successful tender negotiations and project handovers.
About You
- Previous estimating experience within the Australian commercial or multi-residential construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and tendering processes.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (preferred).
