Job Description
Helping Hands Elimbah is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Assistant Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.
This is a permanent, part-time role (25 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday.
Service hours include:
- Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
- Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About Elimbah State School
Helping Hands Elimbah is a passionate and supportive service that provides high-quality care for an average of 75 children each session. Operating within a shared school environment, the service has the unique ability to set up and pack down each day, allowing educators to create fresh, engaging, and responsive play spaces tailored to children's interests and needs.
The service prides itself on the strong partnerships built between the school community, families, and the wider local community, all working hand in hand to support the growth, wellbeing, and development of every child. About your new role
As an Assistant Coordinator, you’ll help lead a team of passionate Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:
- Design and help lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.
- Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
- Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
- Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager, so you’re never doing it alone.
