About the role

The Curriculum and Learning Division is responsible for supporting educators within the public education system to provide the best learning possible to our children and young people. Driving its work is the Strategy for Public Education and the achievement of our ambitions for our learners. The Division has responsibility for all curriculum and learning initiatives, policies, and programmes and has recently undergone a functional design process resulting in the establishment of six directorates, four of which are new to the division. The directorates are:

- Aboriginal Education

- Curriculum

- Curriculum Strategy and Planning

- Curriculum Connections and Engagement

- Early Years Curriculum and Learning

- Learning and Teaching

The Curriculum Connections and Engagement directorate orchestrates the delivery of curriculum and pedagogy products and services to educators and leaders in preschools and schools by engaging with system leaders from all levels of schooling (preschools, primary, secondary and SACE)



to support the division to deliver our projects and programs in a connected way for leaders and educators to experience. The team leads engagement with our external stakeholders and manages our direct to learner programs. This function is also responsible for managing events, communication channels and marketing.

Reporting to the Director, Curriculum Connections and Engagement, the Leader, Programs and Branding provide high level strategic leadership and direction in the design, implementation, promotion and continual improvement of curriculum programs and branding initiatives across the Curriculum and Learning division.

This role proactively fosters team based, cooperative and evidence informed program design, and is pivotal in driving innovation, visibility, and engagement that directly impacts system wide teaching and learning.

Qualifications

Essential:

- Tertiary qualifications in education or a related field.

- Senior leadership experience in program management, branding, or communications within an education environment.

Desirable:

- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or a related field.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS)



working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

S121-5 $160,294 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
