Who's hiring?
We're partnering with a well-established national retail business to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on an initial three-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a recognised brand, lead a small-medium sized team and make an immediate impact.
So, what's the role?
Reporting to the Group CFO, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management and the smooth running of the finance team. This is a hands-on leadership role that will suit someone who enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with mentoring and developing people.
A typical week might see you:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of five finance professionals.
- Overseeing month-end close and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitoring cash flow and preparing cash forecasts alongside the Group CFO.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Preparing BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process and financial planning activities.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and business efficiencies.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support commercial decision-making.
- Rolling up your sleeves to support the team with day-to-day finance activities as required.
To be successful, you'll have:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Previous experience leading and developing a finance team.
- Strong financial reporting and month-end experience.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
