St Mary's Anglican Girls' School is an independent day and boarding school for over 1500 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. We provide girls with opportunities to pursue personal and academic excellence in a respectful and supportive environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a agile, experienced Swim Coach to work closely with our Head Coach, Ian Mills (Dolphin Swim Coach) and play a key role in developing athletic potential and inspiring swimmers to achieve their best. As part of the St Mary's swim coaching team, the Swim Coach is responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of squad swim training, including different squad programs for North Coast Swim Club - Junior, Intermediate, Age, Open and Masters.

The successful applicant will be a highly competent, motivated person who has a supportive and engaging presence, as well as being able to generate a positive swimming environment for students of all levels.

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

- In conjunction with the Head Coach, develop and implement squad training programs for appropriate squad levels.

- Be present to assist before and after squad training for setup and pack down of equipment.

- Attend In-house training and professional development sessions.





Essential qualifications, skills and experiences include:

- Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety

- First Aid Certificate

- Working with Children Check

- National Police History Check

- Austswim or ASCTA Towards Competitive Strokes (or currently working towards obtaining

Swim Coaches are employed as a St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School casual staff member and are paid under the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award, at above-award rates based on Junior, Mid, and Head Coach levels and qualifications.
