As a Payroll Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering end to end Payroll services. Working within a Payroll team that sits in Finance, you’ll collaborate closely across the organisation to deliver a seamless payroll experience.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience operating in larger organisations with multiple complex enterprise agreements and thrives in a fast paced environment.

Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

- Deliver end to end payroll processing for a large workforce ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness across each fortnightly cycle
- Review and validate timesheets, allowances, overtime and leave to ensure correct payments
- Interpret multiple enterprise agreements and awards, providing clear and reliable advice to managers and employees
- Manage payroll lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, employment variations and record maintenance
- Prepare payroll reports, analyse variances and support reconciliations including payroll tax and superannuation
- Build strong relationships across the organisation, delivering high quality customer service and resolving payroll enquiries with professionalism
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and systems

You’ll be part of a small team within Finance, working collaboratively while engaging with stakeholders across the organisation including the People, Safety and Culture team.

About You:

You’re a payroll professional who thrives in complexity and brings a fantastic attitude to everything you do. You’ve built your experience within large organisations,



confidently working across multiple enterprise agreements and you understand the importance of accuracy, collaboration and delivering a positive experience.

You’re not just technically strong — you’re approachable, solutions focused and someone others enjoy working with.

Additionally, you will have

- Confidence interpreting enterprise agreements, awards and payroll legislation
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll systems (TechnologyOne highly regarded)
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- A collaborative, team oriented approach with a willingness to jump in
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive queries with care and professionalism
- A proactive mindset with curiosity, positivity and a drive to continuously improve
- An appropriate qualification in a discipline relevant to the role or substantial experience in payroll processing and maintenance of a HR & Payroll system in a medium to large size organisation
- Experience with superannuation reconciliations and lodgements (desirable)
- Experience providing responsive, professional customer service and assisting employees and managers to resolve payroll enquiries and pay-related issues.

Salary Range:

PACCT Level 5- $80,578 - $84,440 p.a + Superannuation
