About the Role

We are looking for Planner/Senior Planner candidates to join our growing team. We have up to two positions available, suited to people with approximately three to seven years’ skilled planning experience who are ready to develop their consulting career in a supportive, values-led environment.

You will work closely with our Directors and project teams on statutory and strategic planning projects across Tasmania. This is a role for people who take pride in the quality of their work, enjoy solving complex planning problems, and want to be part of a team that values integrity, collaboration, curiosity, and care.

What You'll Do





- Assist with statutory and strategic planning projects across a diverse range of sectors and locations.

- Prepare planning assessments, reports, submissions, proposals, and client advice to a high professional standard.

- Interpret planning schemes, legislation, policy, and project requirements and translate them into clear, practical advice.

- Work collaboratively across our planning, approvals, engagement, environmental, and strategy teams to deliver integrated project outcomes.

- Support client relationships and contribute to project coordination, including scope, timelines, budgets, and quality assurance.

- Contribute to continuous improvement in our processes, systems, templates, and knowledge sharing.

About You

- An accredited tertiary qualification in urban and regional planning, or an equivalent qualification recognised for eligibility for Planning Institute of Australia membership.

- Approximately three to seven years’ professional planning experience in local government, state government, or private practice.

- Experience preparing development applications, planning scheme amendment material, structure plans, strategic planning reports, or planning evidence.

- Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.

- Sound working knowledge of statutory planning processes, preferably within Tasmania or a comparable jurisdiction.

- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, well-structured reports and advice.

- Good judgement, attention to detail,



and confidence working with planning schemes, legislation, policy, and technical information.

- A team-oriented approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to quality.

- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel for meetings and site visits across Tasmania.

Desirable:

Experience working within the Tasmanian planning system.
