Position Overview: Ebcon is an Australian-owned construction, civil works and maintenance company delivering infrastructure, road maintenance, restoration, and electrical works projects for councils, government agencies and commercial clients. As an Estimator at Ebcon, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a diverse range of civil construction and infrastructure projects.

This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams. Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Evaluate and interpret civil engineering, infrastructure and construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for infrastructure, road maintenance, restoration and electrical works projects.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions, feasibility assessments and pricing proposals for civil construction, maintenance and infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with subcontractors,



suppliers and service providers to obtain competitive quotations for labour, materials, plant and specialised services.
- Analyse project risks, cost variations and scope changes, preparing updated estimates and forecasts throughout the tender and project lifecycle.
- Review project specifications, site conditions and client requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality, safety and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and operational teams to develop practical estimating solutions that support successful delivery of infrastructure and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate estimating records, cost databases and tender documentation, ensuring submissions comply with council, government agency and commercial client requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Estimator.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, materials and cost structures.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
