About the Opportunity





We are seeking an experienced academic midwifery leader with a passion for innovation in learning and teaching and a sustained track record of research to join our energetic, forward-thinking team on our Joondalup campus in Perth, Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwifery academic to make a difference at ECU through innovation in research, teaching and learning.

About you

The successful applicant:

- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a midwife.
- Will have completed a PhD.
- Demonstrated breadth of clinical midwifery experience.
- Will have completed qualifications in education and/or can demonstrate educational experience within a tertiary or clinical practice setting.
- Will have a sustained track record of research-related activities within a tertiary education or clinical practice setting and;
- Will demonstrate a sound professional and academic track record in midwifery.

Formal mentorship will be provided to the successful applicant.

You will also be required to demonstrate personal attributes that align with the university’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage and the School’s Midwifery Philosophy.
