Platinum Locating Services specialises in service location and asset protection anywhere in Western Australia, from the complex Perth CBD and metropolitan region, to regional and remote locations. Our team has over 17 years’ experience and includes locators, spotters, Recipient in Charge Supervisors, and High-Pressure Gas Accredited Supervisors. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver our services with accuracy, efficiency and to the highest standard of safety.

Due to ongoing growth and significant new projects, we are looking for skilled and experienced locators to join our team.

- Permanent full-time position, casual and part time positions available

- For experienced Locators competitive remuneration starting at $48.00 per hour

- Penalties rates paid after 7.6 hrs per day (TOIL available)

- Sign on bonus of $5,000 will be provided after your 6-month probation period

Tasks & responsibilities

Our range of services include:





- Accurately complete Subsurface Utility Investigations using Electromagnetic Locating Equipment and Ground Penetrating R

- Service and drainage investigations;

- Utility surveying and mapping,

- Excavation supervision,

- permit management and non-destructive digging

- HP Supervision works available for ATCO accredited people

- Operation of vacuum units

Your Qualifications & experience will include:

- Driver's Licence (C Class minimum)

- Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) & EML

- Reading and understanding Before You Dig Australia plans

- The ability to liaise with clients and understand client requirements

- Ability to produce utility mapping plans

- Surveying experience

- Problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box

- Willingness to work in a team and on your own

- Willingness to learn new skills;

- A positive and qualified attitude to work and safety

- Good administrative and computer/skills

- Experience in operating vacuum units

- Good communication skills to liaise with construction crews and clients

Desirable Qualifications:

- Desirable HR / MR licence

- First Aid/CPR Certificate

- CertLoc accreditation

- Western Power Network Authority Card

- ATCO HP Gas Accreditation

- Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM)

- The individuals will be required to be flexible in start and finish times each day as required by clients
