Nine United Australia represents globally recognised Danish furniture brands HAY, &Tradition; and VERPAN, supplying premium design furniture to leading retailers and design professionals across Australia.

After more than 20 years operating through a distribution partner, Nine United has established a direct Australian presence and is building a capable local team to support its continued growth.

We are now seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to oversee international imports, inventory, warehousing and distribution across the Australian business.

Based at the Manly showroom, you will initially spend approximately two to three days per week at Nine United’s 3PL warehouse in Granville. Your focus will be on monitoring order fulfilment and inventory performance, resolving operational issues and working with the provider to improve service levels. This is an operational management role rather than a hands-on warehouse position.

What the role looks like:

- Manage international purchasing, production schedules and supplier lead times
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in Denmark and China
- Coordinate international shipping, freight forwarding and customs clearance
- Ensure compliance with Australian import regulations, duties and taxes
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective replenishment strategies
- Oversee 3PL performance across receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
- Investigate delayed orders, stock discrepancies and recurring service issues
- Work with the 3PL provider to improve efficiency, accuracy and accountability
- Optimise freight, warehousing and last-mile delivery costs
- Maintain accurate information within ERP and inventory management systems
- Track supply chain costs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support budgeting, forecasting, supplier payments and management reporting

You will work closely with the Australian sales,



customer service, operations and finance teams, as well as international suppliers and logistics partners.

What we’re looking for:

- At least three years’ experience in supply chain, logistics or import operations
- Experience managing international freight, customs and import requirements
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills would be highly regarded due to the role’s regular engagement with suppliers and partners in China.
- Strong experience working with 3PL providers and warehouse operations
- Knowledge of inventory control, replenishment and order fulfilment
- Confidence using ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and experience managing freight and operational costs
- Solid analytical, planning and problem-solving capabilities
- Confidence identifying issues, managing provider performance and driving improvements
- A relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field

Experience within furniture, retail, wholesale or an importing business would be highly regarded. Knowledge of furniture handling requirements, freight optimisation or sustainability standards would also be advantageous.
